Decaffeinated Winter Weekends
the wind blew down and surrounded the children below as they awaited the evenings events t The noise of conversation was filling up the room but they couldn't see the sparks flying between me and you There were walls with painted stars rocking battle scars all under your roof on a snowy winter night just another decaffeinated winter weekend outside the winter storm was a howlin' inside there was a fire in us burning I tried to watch the kids they were dancing but your eyes were so mesmerizing and now I've closed that chapter in the story of my life the one filled with anger, regret and pain because you help me forget about the broken piece of flesh that hangs between my ribs.
